Grant is provided under Project Development and Support Project 2980150 to Beirut University College to support a regional conference of Arab women”s nongovernmental organizations. The conference, which will be convened by the University”s Institute of Women”s Studies in the Arab World, will be held in Cyprus in June 1985 to commemorate the UN Decade for Women and will address the economic, legal, health, and education status of Arab women. Thirty-five participants are expected.
