Evaluates the 211 (d) grant-funded program at Utah State University over the period 2/75 to 6/78. The grant enabled Utah State to expand its competence and become a center for worldwide training and research in the fields of water management, irrigation, and drainage. Project”s purpose has essentially been accomplished and the grant has been terminated. The grant supported the addition of 9 new staff members who are now serving on campus or on overseas assignment. Staff members are on assignment in Peru, Honduras, Kenya, and Guatemala. Training materials, slide series, extension bulletins, and a text on irrigation system evaluation have all been products of the grant. During the project life, Utah provided some 60 man-months of technical assistance to AID on various assignments throughout the world.
