Grant is provided under the PVO Co-financing II Project to Pusat Koperasi Karya Wanita Jawa Timur (PUSKOWANJATI), an umbrella organization of Indonesian women”s cooperatives, to improve management/administration and to expand revolving loan programs. The grant will be used to provide capital to help 9 of PUSKOWANJATI”s 30 member cooperatives to increase their revolving loan funds. Other members will receive similar assistance as they meet qualifications and as the funds circulate back to PUSKOWANJATI. Funds will also be used to hire four new headquarters staff to provide training and TA to member cooperatives, focusing on cooperative development and loan administration. A motorcycle and 30 typewriters will also be purchased.
