Grant is provided under the PVO Co-Financing II Project (4970336) to Wahana Kingkungan Kidup Indonesia (WALHI) to provide preventative and curative health services in the low-income community of Cikumpa. A subgrantee, Yayasan Panca Bhakti (YPB), will be directly responsible for implementation. YPB will operate at least two integrated health posts on a monthly basis. These posts will provide immunization to 43% of children under five years, monthly weighing sessions for 60% of children, regular prenatal care to 30% of pregnant women, and supplementary food to 75% of malnourished children. YPB will also train 25 volunteer health workers to assist health post staff in outreach education activities. The community will also be assisted in establishing a simple health insurance scheme. It is hoped that the number of clinic visits will increased by about 30% of the population so that the clinic can be self- sufficient.
