OPG to International Human Assistance Programs, Inc., (IHAP) to expand the capacity of Swaziland”s Ministry of Health (MOH) in planning, management, and policy development. Two resident advisors, aided by short-term consultants, will help the MOH: assess manpower and health facilities; develop organizational and operational plans; expand health information and statistics capabilities; devise policies to increase coordination among public and private health care providers and between traditional and Western medicine; coordinate health aspects of the national nutrition program; and plan and implement inservice training for health workers at all levels. Three MOH staff will receive overseas academic training.
