Grant is provided under the Earthquake Reconstruction Project (5190333) to World Relief to assist approximately 4,230 families whose homes and communities were damaged by the 10/86 earthquake in San Salvador, El Salvador. World Relief will: promote up to 1,730 home improvement loans through a savings and loan institution; construct approximately 2,500 basic, self-help homes for earthquake victims; help provide community facilities in selected communities where earthquake victims are living; and conduct training in community improvement in these same communities.
