Grant is provided under the Earthquake Reconstruction Project (5190333) to El Salvador”s HABITAT Foundation for reconstruction activities in San Salvador. Activities will include: (1) the construction of 300 low-cost mesones and houses; (2) the establishment of basic infrastructure (e.g., potable water systems, drainage, electricity, roads) in selected resettlement areas, particularly La Selva and 22 de Abril; and (3) the construction of community facilities (e.g., schools and education centers, health clinics, day-care centers) in La Selva, 22 de Abril, 10 de Octubre, San Bartolo, l0 de Mayo, and other resettlement villages.
