Grant is provided under the Special Development Activities project (5210062) to the Association pour la Promotion et le Repeuplement des Volailles (ASPROVO) to increase the production of guinea fowls in Lamaronne, Haiti. Funds will be used to (1) construct a large enclosure to enable ASPROVO to systematically raise guinea hens in a controlled environment; and (2) procure fertilized guinea fowl eggs (1,200) and brooder chickens to establish a breeding flock of 600 females and 120 males.
