USAID, SPRING · 2018

Abstract
It provides a framework for applying systems thinking to improve nutrition outcomes, recognizing that malnutrition is a complex issue with multiple causes and interrelated factors. The document introduces a systems thinking approach, which considers seven cross-cutting factors: policies and governance, infrastructure and markets, inputs and services, information and communication, financing, household resources, and sociocultural environment. It also presents a tool for conducting a systems assessment and using the findings to inform nutrition-related actions.
