Abstract
The report aims to investigate the supply and demand for nutritious foods, as well as the influence of local production and trade within the counties' different livelihood zones. The report provides an executive summary, key findings, and recommendations based on qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys. The findings highlight the challenges faced by households in accessing nutritious foods, including limited purchasing power, market inefficiencies, and lack of access to capital, credit, and finance. The report also identifies opportunities for improving food systems, including the potential for market-based programming and the need for investments in infrastructure, such as roads and highways.
