Abstract

It summarizes the findings of a formative assessment conducted by the Infant and Young Child Nutrition (IYCN) Project in Western and Eastern Provinces of Kenya. The report highlights men's daily activities, their concept of their role as fathers, and their responsibilities in family nutrition. It also discusses men's positive roles as agents of change, their roles in family food provision, and their attitudes towards exclusive breastfeeding. The report concludes with recommendations for engaging men in supporting maternal and infant nutrition.
