Abstract
The manual is a comprehensive guide for healthcare workers, counsellors, and other health personnel to support and promote optimal infant and young child practices in Lesotho, including breastfeeding and complementary feeding. The manual consists of 36 sessions, covering topics such as the importance of breastfeeding, counselling skills, assessing infant feeding, and preparing complementary foods. The document aims to equip healthcare workers with the necessary knowledge and skills to counsel mothers on infant feeding practices, particularly in the context of HIV/AIDS.
