Abstract
It provides an overview of anemia prevalence, causes, and prevention strategies in Sierra Leone, with a focus on mothers, infants, and children. The profile presents data on anemia prevalence, micronutrient deficiencies, and malaria among different age groups, as well as the status of policies and strategies to reduce anemia. It also highlights the importance of a multisectoral approach to prevent anemia, involving agriculture, water and sanitation, education, and health sectors.
