Situational Analysis of Early Childhood Care and Development Services in Ghana (July 2022)

The report presents the findings of a study that aimed to understand the current status of services in the health and social welfare sectors to promote optimal early childhood development outcomes in Ghana. The study used a mixed-methods design, including key informant interviews, qualitative observation, and quantitative assessments of workforce competencies. The report highlights the key findings, including gaps in knowledge and competencies among health and social welfare workers, and provides recommendations to strengthen responsive care, early learning, and safety and security counseling and support services.
