Abstract
The brief presents findings from a study on infant and young child feeding practices in Egypt, highlighting the prevalence of stunting and the common feeding practices that may contribute to it. The study found that junk food is a significant part of the diet of young children in Egypt, and that mothers often introduce junk food at an early age due to misconceptions about its nutritional value. The brief also presents recommendations for policy and program changes to address the issue of junk food and stunting in Egypt.
