Abstract
It presents the findings of a consumer demand study conducted by USAID Advancing Nutrition in Bauchi, Kebbi, and Sokoto, Nigeria. The study aimed to understand the factors affecting the consumption of nutrient-rich foods, including morning and spinach, eggs and fish, soya bean and groundnut, and orange-fleshed sweet potatoes. The poster highlights the barriers to purchasing and consuming these foods, including perceived availability, affordability, and nutritional value, as well as personal and cultural preferences. The study's findings have implications for food systems and nutrition programming in Northern Nigeria.
