Abstract
The research aims to understand the factors influencing eating behaviors and nutrition in families, particularly mothers and children under two years of age, in order to design and implement strategies to promote social and behavioral change. The report presents the results of the research, including the current feeding practices of families, barriers to adopting improved food and hygiene practices, and the interests and priorities of families around health, nutrition, water, and hygiene. The research was conducted in 11 municipalities in the departments of Ocotepeque, Copán, Lempira, and Santa Bárbara, and involved focus groups with mothers and grandmothers, interviews with fathers, and community tours. The report provides recommendations for interventions to improve nutrition and health outcomes in the region.
