USAID: Illustrative Behaviors for Nutrition-Sensitive Agriculture (July 2022)

It highlights the importance of considering the entire food system, including production, processing, distribution, and consumption, as well as the various actors involved, such as farmers, retailers, and consumers. The document also provides a list of evidence-based behaviors that can be adopted to improve nutrition outcomes, along with examples of how these behaviors can be adapted to specific contexts to make them nutrition-sensitive. The behaviors are organized around three categories: food availability, food environment, and food utilization, and are accompanied by icons indicating the impact of each behavior on nutrition outcomes, such as affordability, food safety, and nutritional quality.
