Abstract
The brief focuses on four thematic areas: sedentarization, mobility, changing generational and gender roles, and customary and kin-based social safety nets. It highlights the evidence gaps in understanding the relationships between these themes and nutrition in the ASALs, particularly from a gender perspective. The brief is based on a desk study and identifies areas for further research to address these evidence gaps.
