Abstract
It presents the results of a study conducted in two districts of Dhamar, Yemen, to inform the development of evidence-based programming to address high rates of malnutrition, short inter-pregnancy intervals, and low contraceptive prevalence in the country. The study used the Trials of Improved Practices (TIPs) methodology and involved 60 respondents, including mothers, fathers, grandmothers, community leaders, and health workers. The report covers various aspects of maternal, infant, and young child nutrition and family planning practices, including breastfeeding, complementary feeding, and contraceptive use. It highlights the challenges and barriers faced by mothers and families in adopting optimal practices and provides recommendations for improving nutrition and family planning outcomes in Yemen.
