Abstract
The species is currently planted for fuelwood, erosion control, shade, and ornamental purposes. Although A. auriculiformis has been planted successfully outside its native range, very little is known of its pattern of natural variation. This bibliography seeks to summarize all important information on A. auriculiformis available up until 1/90. A total of 368 research reports are cited; most are in English, but there are also several important reports in Thai, Indonesian, and Dutch. Each citation includes an abstract. A summary and a discussion of current research directions are also included. Topics include taxonomy, ecology, flowering and seed production, silvicultural features, wood properties, and use.
