Africa Project Development Facility
Project to join 15 other donors in supporting the Africa Project Development Facility (APDF), which will provide financial advisory services to emerging small and medium-scale enterprises in sub-Saharan Africa for developing, packaging, and implementing investment projects.

Abstract
APDF"s services will include feasibility and market studies, business planning, location of technical and financial partners, and location of sources of additional financing. APDF will not itself finance projects. Some 60-70 projects of $500,000-$5 million each are envisioned over a 3-year period. Consultants from the United States and other developed and developing countries will assist APDF core staff in Abidjan and Nairobi. The UN Development Programme"s International Finance Corporation will implement the project.
