AID contract with Arthur D. Little, Inc. to obtain an overview of energy needs and alternative energy sources in LDCs

The contractor, Arthur D. Little, Inc., will: (1) summarize performance and cost data for both conventional and nonconventional energy sources; (2) estimate relevant technical and economic trends; (3) identify current and projected energy needs and techno-economic alternatives for 15 developing countries; (4) assess the impact of higher energy costs on developing country economies; (5) identify and analyze at least 4 pilot projects; and (6) identify further energy research needs.
