AID cooperative agreement no. 519-0395-A-00-2080-00 with International Executive Service Corps to provide technical assistance to private sector enterprises and organizations, to assist in the economic reactivation of El Salvador

The International Executive Service Corps (IESC) will work with the Asociacion Salvadorena de Industriales (ASI) to select firms from six industrial sectors: agro and food; leather and shoes; textiles and apparel; plastics, paints, inks, etc.; pharmaceuticals; and metal mechanics. IESC will conduct a preliminary analysis of each selected firm to diagnose problems, specify the nature of planned assistance, and identify expected results, and will then provide direct firm-level TA in marketing, production, finance, and sales. TA funds will be apportioned as follows: about half for firms classified as small (100,000-750,000 colones), with the other half divided about evenly between medium (750,000-2,000,000 colones) and large (over 2,000,000 colones) firms.
