Abstract
PADF will invite 20 national-level environmental NGO"s to workshops to explore options for institutional improvement and develop action plans for strengthening their organizations. Up to eight NGO"s will receive subgrants for operational strengthening through improvements in strategic planning, management structures, workplan and budget preparation, board leadership, membership development, project implementation, and specialized technical development. PADF will also award 20 small (up to $8,000) special activity grants for specific short-term projects to strengthen NGO abilities to plan and implement projects in such areas as forestry, soil conservation, biodiversity, and park management.
