Grant is provided to CARE under the Linking Dairy Products with Development Project (9380706) to help the LICONSA, the Government of Mexico"s food purchasing and distribution agency, expand the milk production and distribution network for the needy in Mexico City.

Abstract
CARE will equip 16 additional milk distribution centers in the neediest urban neighborhoods and 2 new production/processing centers in dairy-producing areas close to Mexico City. U.S. surplus non-fat dried milk from the Section 416 commodities program in will be used in part for the new distribution centers.
