Fourteen chapters by individual authors cover: basic economic and statistical concepts and agroeconomic research tools; three types of budgets (enterprise, partial, parametric); procedures for estimating prices for agricultural inputs and products and for analyzing investments and returns over time; factor share in agricultural production; cropping systems research methodology; farm household systems; fertilizer recommendations; economic analysis of new technologies; market analysis; data collection methods for developing an initial agroeconomic profile of a research site; collection and analysis of farm-level survey data; and data collection for evaluation of new technologies at research sites.
