Abstract
The GOB Central Statistics Office of the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning will conduct the study in cooperation with Boston University and the University of Botswana and Swaziland. This study will identify and describe the magnitude, direction, and composition of migration streams and will discuss the causes and socioeconomic effects of: (1) rural to urban migration (especially to mining centers); (2) rural to rural migration (especially to cattle posts and outlying lands); and (3) migration to South African mines or other foreign employment centers.
