Abstract
The project's first phase focused on executing preparatory work and carrying out the first event, which was considered a core activity of Milestone 1. The implementation of the milestone included various activities, such as administration, planning, and management, as well as the creation of a website and its update. Preparatory work and organizing of the FAIR 1 event in Dnipropetrovsk involved recruiting coordinators, experts, and discussion with representatives of institutions that carried out projects. The project team also prepared two monitoring reports and briefs, created two mobile roll-ups and one banner, and organized a press conference. The project team developed a Work Plan that included a clear managerial structure, division of roles, detailed activities, timeline, risks, and mitigation measures. The Work Plan was submitted as DELIVERABLE 1 in a separate document. The ultimate goal of the Milestone 1 was the implementation of the activity called "Fair with presentation of successful projects realized in Slovakia and/or V4 in the field of energy efficiency and use of renewables." The event, which took place in the form of an expert event in Dnipro, was attended by around 125 people from various cities and municipalities, universities, state/regional/city institutions, academia, businesses, and expert public. The event received positive feedback, and the project manager and lead expert communicated with representatives of the Oblast to discuss more concrete options for cooperation. The event was promoted through the project's website, as well as the website of the RC SFPA and its Ukrainian main partner Centre for Global Studies "Strategy XXI." The project team also created roll-ups and a banner to present the event and organizers, although the use of the big banner at the conference was problematic due to delivery issues. The project team developed the website of the project, which initially aimed to create an international website in English about the project and events with presentations. The website idea was expanded to include both language versions, with initial preparation of the English version and Ukrainian version. The website now includes buttons for solutions, educational content, and financial opportunities for energy efficiency projects.
