Abstract
The program has 59 cleared activities, totaling $2,782,527, and 20 pending activities, totaling $991,290. In the Nord region, a rapidly deteriorating security situation has led to increased youth involvement in CVE efforts. The program engaged youth to create a call-in radio program promoting inter-religious dialogue and cohesion. The "DJs of the Day" initiative enabled 50 youth, including 15 females, to produce messages countering violent extremist narratives. This activity reached an estimated 5,000 people in the North and involved local leaders and populations in sensitizing local populations against behaviors conducive to violent extremism. In the Sahel region, religion is exploited by violent extremist organizations (VEOs) to attract vulnerable individuals. The program supported a three-day open forum for local leaders to discuss community mobilization against VEOs. The forum, attended by 15 previously trained leaders, including 5 females, and additional religious and traditional leaders, reached over 141 community members with messages of peace and religious tolerance. These leaders see themselves as key to building community resilience against VEO influence. The program's CVE efforts aim to counter VEO recruitment by promoting inter-religious dialogue and community engagement. Local leaders and populations are involved in sensitizing communities against behaviors conducive to violent extremism. The program's activities focus on building resilience in communities against VEO influence. The "DJs of the Day" initiative and the open forum in the Sahel region demonstrate the program's efforts to engage local leaders and populations in CVE efforts. These activities promote inter-religious dialogue and community engagement, countering VEO recruitment efforts. The program's CVE efforts aim to build community resilience against VEO influence and promote peace and religious tolerance. The program's activities are designed to address the root causes of violent extremism, including poverty, lack of economic opportunities, and social exclusion. The program's CVE efforts focus on promoting community engagement and promoting inter-religious dialogue to counter VEO recruitment efforts. The program's activities aim to build community resilience against VEO influence and promote peace and religious tolerance. The program's CVE efforts are implemented in collaboration with local leaders and populations. The program's activities focus on promoting community engagement and promoting inter-religious dialogue to counter VEO recruitment efforts. The program's CVE efforts aim to build community resilience against VEO influence and promote peace and religious tolerance.
