Collecting and using data for impact assessment

Issues related to how data are gathered and used are addressed in sections on selecting variables, primary data collection, qualitative data collection, secondary data collection, and combining data sources. Important issues addressed in these sections include how to integrate different types of data in the final analysis and the importance of drawing on different types of data sources to get a more complete and accurate picture of program impact.
