Abstract
The training programs emphasized the importance of soil conservation, crop rotation, and composting to improve soil fertility and reduce erosion. The initiative's focus on women-headed households was aimed at addressing the disproportionate burden of agricultural work on women in Rwanda. By providing training and support to these households, the initiative aimed to improve their livelihoods and reduce poverty. The evaluation also showed that the initiative's interventions had a positive impact on the overall food security situation in Rwanda, with improved access to nutritious food and reduced reliance on external food aid. The initiative's success was attributed to the collaborative efforts of local government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community groups. The program's focus on building capacity and promoting sustainable agriculture practices helped to create a more resilient agricultural sector in Rwanda. The initiative's findings and recommendations are expected to inform future agricultural development initiatives in Rwanda and other countries in the region.
