Abstract
In Chapter II a model of migration behavior is presented from which hypotheses are derived about the determinants of the probability of migration. In Chapter III the results of a sample survey are used to characterize migrants and non-migrants in Testour. In Chapter IV the survey is used to discuss the destinations and employment of the migrants after leaving Testour. Chapter V considers the survey information about urban and rural incomes and how it is used in the probability of migration function. In Chapter VI least-squares regression and prohibit estimates of a probability of migration function are presented and the two techniques are compared. Chapter VII consists of the conclusions and policy implications of the study.
