Abstract
This report describes the survey"s methodology and presents its results. The study identified all curative and preventive health services provided in both inpatient and ambulatory settings for an extensive sample of households in urban and rural areas. It describes use of services of the full range of providers including doctors, nurses, midwives, traditional healers, and pharmacists. In addition to describing the forms and patterns of service utilization, this report provides significant insight into the importance of different sources of care in responding to the demand for services.
