The purpose of this inquiry is to evaluate the Peruvian agricultural sector plan in order to identify areas where the technical or financial resources at AID"s disposal could be most effectively brought to bear in support of the policies already established.

Abstract
In this undertaking the primary requirement is isolation of those elements which are the primary or sole responsibility of the government and at the same time essential to the success of any attempt by a foreign or international agency to contribute to the development process. The study provides an indication of the historic performance of Peruvian agriculture, including land area and use and land potentials, and human and technical resources requirements for improved production and marketing.
