Woods, Charles A. · 1986

Abstract
An opening section describes the parks" locations and purposes. The parks" geological and biological resources are outlined in part two, while part three discusses park management. Each park will be divided into two zones to ensure that it serves both a recreational and a conservation purpose. All construction (structures, trails, and signs) will be monitored, as will the use of existing access roads. Part four outlines administrative procedures and is followed by proposed subjects for the parks" interpretation and research programs. Management will be conducted from park headquarters and stations, the location, type, and construction of which is presented in part six. The importance of integrating the parks with local employment and watershed management needs is stressed (model programs for the region of each park are identified), and recommendations are made for the content and location of training programs for all park personnel. A concluding section emphasizes the parks" role in establishing a better balance between human beings and their environment.
