Abstract
Assistance was focused on 7 districts in the southwestern part of the country. A total of 89,942 families were served through emergency food supply as well as dry food ration supply directly by CARE staff and partner NGOs located in the region. Assistance focused on vulnerable women-headed families (separated, widowed, and those with disabled husbands), and day laborer, landless, and displaced families. CARE also supplied cleaned drinking water to those who took shelter at camps as well as to those staying at the villages. At least 800 families (4,000 people) received clean drinking water on a daily basis from October 2 to October 15.
