Abstract
EPP-I-00-04-00020-00, Order No. 3, M-2011.03.93, outlines the scope of work for the project. The project aims to improve the management of natural resources in Rwanda, focusing on the agricultural sector. The project will be implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, with the goal of increasing agricultural productivity and improving food security. The project will be implemented in three phases, with the first phase focusing on the development of a comprehensive management plan for natural resources. The plan will be developed in consultation with stakeholders, including farmers, local communities, and government officials. The plan will aim to improve the efficiency of natural resource use, reduce waste, and promote sustainable agriculture practices. The project will also establish a system for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the management plan. The system will include regular monitoring of natural resource use, as well as evaluation of the impact of the project on agricultural productivity and food security. The project will also provide training and capacity-building programs for farmers and local communities, to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to implement the management plan effectively. The project will be implemented in collaboration with the Rwanda Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, and will be overseen by a project management unit. The project will be funded by USAID, with a total budget of $10 million. The project is expected to be completed within 36 months, with the goal of improving agricultural productivity and food security in Rwanda.
