Abstract
The purpose of this training was to equip participants with the necessary skills to become effective facilitators of learning and motivators of change. The training aimed to provide participants with the tools to design, implement, and evaluate the results of participatory learning sessions. The training focused on several key areas, including the role of the facilitator, the role of the participant, and the methods of adult learning. Participants learned that adults learn best when they are motivated to learn, when they are given the opportunity to practice what they have learned, and when they are provided with a variety of learning methods. They also learned that adults learn best in informal settings, through activities such as group work, exercises, and games. The training emphasized the importance of communication skills for facilitators, including verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to promote participation and motivation among participants. Participants also learned about the importance of preparation, including the need to define clear objectives, methodology, and content for each training session. The training provided participants with a range of tools and resources to support their work as facilitators, including a guide for designing and implementing training sessions, a checklist for preparing logistics, and a model for designing a training session. Participants also learned about various methods of training, including interchanges, workshops, internet-based training, and community of practice. One of the key takeaways from the training was the importance of understanding how adults learn and the need to design training sessions that take into account the unique needs and learning styles of adult learners. Participants also learned about the importance of promoting participation and motivation among participants, and the need to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The training provided participants with a range of skills and knowledge to support their work as facilitators, including the ability to design and implement effective training sessions, promote participation and motivation among participants, and evaluate the results of training sessions. The training also emphasized the importance of ongoing learning and professional development for facilitators, and provided participants with a range of resources and tools to support their ongoing learning and growth. The training was designed to be practical and applicable, with a focus on providing participants with the skills and knowledge they need to make a positive impact in their communities. The training was delivered in a participatory and interactive manner, with a focus on promoting active learning and engagement among participants. Overall, the "Taller de Formación a Capacitadores en Incentivos Económicos para la Conservación" was a comprehensive and practical training program that provided participants with the skills and knowledge they need to become effective facilitators of learning and motivators of change.
