Abstract
The threats assessment was constructed from information collected from secondary sources, a participatory rural appraisal (PRA) in each of the eight project villages over the period January 30 - February 12, 2005, and follow-up interviews that were conducted in May and June of 2005. An interdisciplinary appraisal team spent five to six hours in each of five villages and conducted PRA exercises. (Author abstract, modified)
