Abstract
The APHA reached a tentative agreement with the Moroccan Government to assist the AMPF from 7/80 to 6/83. Planned radio efforts include 35 radio spots, 35 broadcasts on various FP topics, and 12 sketches, all of which are designed to educate the public and placate religious objections and fears about FP. The AMPF also plans to broadcast on national television 11 educational spots, 12 sketches (which will also be produced on 16mm magnetic film and 3/4 inch videotape for public showing), and 35 telecasts (also to be reproduced for dissemination to various centers in rural areas). Regarding publications, plans are to produce 110,000 copies of 12 posters, from 25,000-200,000 copies of 11 leaflets, and 50,000 copies of an FP booklet for young adult couples. In addition, educational materials and visual aids for instructors will be developed. Efforts will be made to train and thus influence decisionmakers, planners, instructors, and outreach personnel in several government ministries - Youth and Sports, Social Affairs and Handicrafts, Agriculture, National Education, Labor, Interior, Information, Religious Affairs, and Health. Sessions with influential private agencies are also contemplated. Six new AMPF positions will be funded by the project and the AMPF"s Rabat office will be reorganized. Two small opinion surveys will be conducted to measure public attitudes toward FP, and four baseline surveys of radio and television audiences are planned in early phases of the project. Post-project evaluations of each training session and pre-testing of materials on staff will be made.
