Abstract
Community feedback indicated adoption barriers due to high costs of irrigation equipment. The agricultural development initiative in Yemen aimed to improve access to quality education. The goal was to expand access to safe, functional education services during the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative focused on five districts: Al Hussein, Al Shuayeb, Al Azareq, Al Dhale’e, and Qatabah. Recruitment of 292 teachers was conducted in the reporting period, with 292 kits distributed to 292 teachers. The kits provided scholastic materials to enhance teaching and learning. Student kits were distributed to 1,800 students, comprising two ballpoint pens, one student bag, 10 school notebooks, a pencil with an attached eraser, and other materials. The initiative aimed to enhance learning and participation in summer classes. The scholastic materials were intended to support students in their educational pursuits. The initiative's focus on sustainable agriculture practices and education services aimed to improve food security and improve access to quality education in Yemen.
