Abstract
A total of 2,500 farmers received training in sustainable agriculture techniques during the first year, with demonstration plots established in 15 communities showing yield improvements of 60% when applying the recommended practices. The INVEST project's quarterly metrics provide a detailed breakdown of the initiative's progress. Key performance indicators (KPIs) included crop yields, farmer training participation, and market access improvements. Data from the first quarter of the project showed a 20% increase in crop yields among participating farmers, with a corresponding 15% increase in market access. The second quarter saw a further 10% increase in crop yields and a 20% increase in market access. The INVEST project's quarterly metrics also highlighted the importance of infrastructure development and market linkage facilitation in achieving project goals. Data from the third quarter showed a 25% increase in the number of farmers accessing markets, with a corresponding 30% increase in market prices for participating farmers. The fourth quarter saw a further 15% increase in market access and a 20% increase in market prices. Overall, the INVEST project's quarterly metrics demonstrate the initiative's progress towards improving agricultural productivity and market access in Rwanda.
