Abstract
The project was a complete success, going far beyond its scope while remaining within its approved budget. The Lhanguene Orphanage is well respected, and its level of education and training is considered superior to others. Key project targets were completely attained. Both the orphanage and the community center are completely rehabilitated and fully operational, and the target of 80 orphans enrolled and receiving basic education was met in 3/96, 9 months earlier than planned. Orphanage staff is well trained, experienced, and able to manage the multi-faceted activities of the orphanage without direct assistance from Salesian Missions.
