Limited scope grant agreement between the United States of America acting through the Regional Office for Central American Programs (ROCAP) in the name of the Agency for International Development (AID) and the Executive Secretariat of the Central American Monetary Council (ESCAMC)

Grant is provided under the Program Development and Support project (5960000) to the Executive Secretariat of the Central American Monetary Council to conduct a study of the external debt of Central American nations.

Abstract

Two economists who are experts in Central American monetary policy and debt management will be contracted to analyze alternatives for dealing with the debt burden, including debt renegotiation and other related possibilities under the Initiative for the Americas proposal. Funds will also be provided for computer equipment needed for analysis of economic/financial trends in Central America.
