Abstract

It presents the assessment methods, findings, and the following key recommendations: (1) promote the sustainability of the Christian Health Association of Malawi; (2) expand the commercial sector; (3) build an enabling policy environment for private sector health care. The overall goal of these recommendations is to build a vibrant mixed health care system in Malawi that maximizes the unique capabilities of both the public and private health care sectors.
