Abstract
The initiative aims to reduce indoor air pollution and promote the use of cleaner energy sources. The ACS is a more efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional cooking methods. The communication tools developed for the MBPH initiative are designed to target specific audiences, including microfinance institution (MFI) groups, women, and key decision-makers in households. The tools aim to educate and raise awareness about the benefits of ACS, including reduced fuel consumption, less smoke, and improved health outcomes. The tools include banners, posters, brochures, and flex banners, each designed to convey a specific message. The TeknoStove brand is used to promote the ACS, highlighting its benefits such as 50% less fuel consumption, portability, quick cooking, quick start, and less smoke. The "Bring home happiness" campaign aims to promote the benefits of ACS, focusing on the health impact of indoor air pollution and the benefits of using a TeknoStove. The "Welcome to participants" banner, with the theme "Queen of the Kitchen," aims to welcome participants to the program and emphasize the importance of the role of women in the household. The communication tools are designed to be used in the initial stages of the project, targeting MFI groups and their households. The tools aim to educate and raise awareness about the benefits of ACS, with the ultimate goal of increasing the adoption of these stoves in rural areas of Uttar Pradesh. The research and concept test conducted in Uttar Pradesh informed the development of the communication tools. The tools are designed to be effective in communicating the benefits of ACS to the target audience, with the aim of promoting the adoption of these stoves and improving the health and well-being of rural communities. The use of these communication tools is expected to contribute to the success of the MBPH initiative, which aims to improve the health and well-being of rural communities in Uttar Pradesh.
