Abstract
This training is designed to improve service delivery and ensure that providers possess the necessary skills to counsel women on oral contraceptive methods. By the end of the training, healthcare providers are expected to demonstrate proficiency in several key areas. Firstly, they will be able to provide appropriate counseling skills for oral contraceptive methods, enabling them to effectively communicate with women and address their concerns. Additionally, providers will be able to assess the eligibility of women for oral contraceptives and provide these methods in accordance with standard procedures and guidelines. Providers will also be able to describe the follow-up care required for clients using oral contraceptive methods, ensuring that women receive ongoing support and monitoring. Furthermore, they will be able to manage side effects and other issues related to oral contraceptive methods, providing women with the necessary guidance and care. Effective record keeping and reporting are also critical components of the training. Providers will be able to demonstrate correct record keeping and reporting of clients using oral contraceptive methods, enabling healthcare facilities to track and evaluate the effectiveness of these services.
