Abstract
The focus is on communication skills and education and is aimed at the trainers of extension workers. There are four main sections with each section divided into units with handouts and activities. Section 1, "Basic Education Methods," includes: (1) "Basic Communication Skills and Home Visits"; (2) "How to Organize and Lead Small Group Discussions"; (3) "Education Methods"; and (4) "Production of Visual Aids." Section 2, "Community Education Methods," contains: (1) "How to Use Drama for Community Education"; (2) "How to Use Puppetry for Community Education"; and (3) "Organizing a Field Day." Section 3, "Community Mobilization Method," includes: (1) "Role of the Extension Worker in Promoting Community Self-Sufficiency"; (2) "Understanding the Community"; (3) "Promoting Community Action"; and (4) "Organizing Meetings and Committees." Section 4, "Work Management Skills," contains: (1) "Planning and Assessing Your Work"; (2) "Reporting"; (3) "Writing a Project Proposal"; and (4) "Teamwork and Coordination." An introductory unit focuses on "Identifying Your Needs and Problems." A summary unit examines "Planning, Conducting, and Evaluating and Education Session."
