Monthly Report: Repair and Rehabilitation of Muzaffargarh Thermal Power Station

The project is being implemented by Advanced Engineering Associates International, Inc. (AEAI) in collaboration with the Northern Power Company Limited (NPGCL). The project's objective is to improve the efficiency and reliability of the power station, which is a critical component of Pakistan's energy infrastructure. The overall schedule for procurement and installation of equipment at NPGCL has slipped by 4-5 months, with the completion date now expected to be in November 2011. The project has made significant progress in terms of reimbursement, with a total of $4,464,500 having been submitted and reimbursed in GENCO's account. The first reimbursement of $167,616 was paid in February 2011, followed by a second reimbursement of $3,734,384 in March 2011, and a third reimbursement of $562,500 in April 2011. Lot 3 involves the procurement of Air Pre-Heater Elements (Intermediate) 2 sets for Unit 4, with a completion date of August 31, 2011.
